System notifications are generated when Anodot detects important functionality misalignments, such as an expired Azure token, an unassociated linked account, or a new linked account. They typically indicate an action needed to be performed by administrators.
The various notifications are listed in the Notification types section below.
Accessing and viewing notifications
Notifications are displayed in the upper pane, as shown in the following image.
In the Notifications dialog, accessed by clicking the notifications icon, you can view the current existing notifications followed by the notified element and the action required.
Note the following:
- The number on the notifications icon represents the existing number of notifications.
- You can exclude a specific Linked Account/Project/Subscription by clicking the "Don't show this again" icon , to exclude notification for this account.
- The exclude option is available for the following notification types:
- New Linked Account
- Linked Account is not associated with a Customer
- Linked Account is not associated with a Cost Center
- You can exclude Linked Account/Project/Subscription in bulk by searching for the population, clicking on the 'Select All' button, and then clicking on the Don't show this again" icon.
- Notification detection is performed on an hourly basis and reflects the current system state (there is no history).
- Notifications are provided to all cloud providers.
- The notification list can be downloaded into a CSV file (by clicking CSV).
- Notifications are detected per payer account.
- Notifications are not available in All Accounts and Multi-Cloud accounts.
Notification types
- New Linked Account (shows new linked accounts that are at least four days old, together with their creation time)
- Linked Accounts are Not Connected
- Linked Account is not associated with a Customer
- Linked Account is not associated with a Cost Center
- The Azure App Registration key is about to expire within 14 days (notifications should start 14 days before expiration and appear every day until the key is updated)
- AWS Account Onboarding Failure
- AWS Account Onboarding Validation Failure
- AWS Successful Account Onboarding
